Zaporizhzhia is a frontline city that is under constant shelling by Russian occupation forces during day and night. Therefore, there is a need for more personnel in rescue units to carry out fire and rescue operations in the event of emergencies caused by rocket attacks on Zaporizhzhia.
The creation and involvement of a volunteer civil defence team will allow for faster response to the consequences of the destruction of buildings and critical infrastructure. IDPs who have lost their jobs will be able to join the team. After training, members of the unit will be able to join the ranks of the fire and rescue unit.
The project is at the stage of discussion with management.
